Our client is a startup ICT company providing various solutions including IT security management, customized software, networking and IT infrastructure. They seek to hire a well experienced General Manager to supervise and control all strategic and business aspects of the company. The successful candidate will be the first in command in the company and responsible for providing strategic direction as well as driving the company’s development towards long-term success. The role requires a candidate with demonstrable experience in running successful and profitable business organizations.

·        Develop high quality business strategies and plans ensuring their alignment with short-term and long-term objectives.

·        Lead and motivate employees to promote engagement and develop a high performing management team.

·        Oversee all operations and business activities to ensure they produce the desired results and are consistent with the overall strategy and mission.

·        Make high quality investing decisions to advance the business and increase profits.

·        Enforce adherence to legal guidelines and in-house policies to maintain the company’s legality and business ethics.

·        Review financial and non financial reports to devise solutions or improvements to the business.

·        Build trust relations with key partners and stakeholders and act as a point of contact for key shareholders.

·        Analyze problematic situations and occurrences and provide solutions to ensure company survival and growth.

·        Maintain a deep knowledge of the markets and the industry that the company operates in.

·        Bachelor’s Degree in Business/ Computer Science/Computer Engineering/ Information Systems or an IT related field.

·        Masters Degree will be an added advantage.

·        Atleast 5 years in IT operations at senior management positions in an IT company

·        Experience in leading and managing large IT projects and rolling out infrastructures across various technologies

·        Excellent working knowledge of computer systems, security network and systems administration, databases and date storage systems as well as phone systems

·        Experience in analysis, implementation and evaluation of IT systems and their specifications.

·        Experience in managing IT projects’ budgets.

·        Excellent project management skills and strong ability to prioritize

·        Firm grasp on IT infrastructure and operations’ best practices.

·        Project Management certifications, IT governance certification and Enterprise architect certifications and or any other related IT management certification (e.g. ITIL, CISM, COBIT. 5 Foundation, CompTIA Project+)

·        Excellent leadership, communication, presentation and negotiation skills and experience working in a multidisciplinary environment

·        Experience in developing profitable strategies and implementing vision

·        Strong understanding of corporate finance and performance management principles

·        Familiarity with diverse business functions such as marketing, PR and finance

·        In-depth knowledge of corporate governance and general management best practices

·        An entrepreneurial mindset with outstanding organizational, decision making and leadership skills
