Job Description
Our client is a group of companies with interests in various business fields including Imports & Exports, ICT and Logistics. They seek to recruit a competent, creative and well experienced and performance driven Assistant Marketing Manager to facilitate the Group’s marketing efforts.
Key Responsibilities
· Formulate brand plans and propose various marketing strategies in accordance with the Group’s corporate policy and strategic plan
· Participate in the marketing department’s policy formulation and development
· Responsible for creating content for marketing campaigns and creating monthly dashboards for various activities
· Responsible for publishing the group’s marketing collateral including information booklets, brochures, handbills and other related materials. These will include developing the content, design, creativity and proof reading
· Plan various activities as per the marketing strategic plans
· Market development: Ensure new opportunities for selling within the market are explored and utilized
· Market Follow-up: Ensure constant monitoring of customer/market behavior and reporting
· Market Research: Conduct market intelligence relevant to the group’s products vis a vis competitor product and updating reports on the same
· Monitor the set targets and work towards achieving the goals
· Management and oversight of the company’s website by ensuring it is up to date
· Co-ordinate with the sales teams to facilitate functions such as organizing for exhibitions and handling of events
· Assist in exploring new geographical markets for the group while also exploring new product feasibility for business planning
· Submission of weekly progress reports to management on the assigned activities
· Develop budgets including expenditures, research and development appropriations and return-on-investment and profit-loss projections
· Directing, planning and coordinating marketing efforts
Required Qualifications & Skills
· Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing or a related field of study
· Membership to a professional body eg MSK
· Minimun 5 years’ relevant experience in a similar role
· Strong understanding of customer and market dynamics as well as requirements
· Demonstrable experience in creating successful marketing plans, strategy and campaigns
· Ability to oversee end to end execution of marketing activities
· Demonstrable experience in online marketing including social media and content marketing
· Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
· Good relationship and stakeholder management abilities
· Excellent interpersonal, negotiation and networking skills
· Ability to easily adapt to change and work under minimal supervision
