Our client is a startup ICT company providing various solutions including IT security management, customized software, networking and IT infrastructure. They seek to recruit a competent, well experienced and performance driven chief accountant who will be responsible for overseeing the company’s accounting operations. 

·        Responsible for day to day finance and accounts operations

·        Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls

·        Ensure that all accounting records are maintained i.e. ledgers and subsidiary books of accounts.

·        Preparation of the company’s financial statements and ensure timely closing of accounts

·        Prepare cash flow forecasting, budgeting and work closely with all departments in analyzing margins, variances and cost analysis

·        Preparing/supervising and reviewing the month end closing vouchers and accounts ensuring all journal vouchers are passed.

·        Ensuring that closing deadlines are adhered to.

·        Ensure all taxes are properly accrued and paid on time.

·        Ensure smooth year-end closing with external auditors which will include a detailed review of all balance sheet accounts and any necessary adjustments.

·        Perform project cost forecasts/budgets, cost tracking, monitoring and controls

·        Bank accounts reconciliations and resolve various issues with banks such as cleared cheque differences, bank fee anomalies and targeted balance calculations.

·        Preparation of monthly management accounts

·        Review and recommend modifications to accounting systems and procedures

·        Ensure accurate allocation of cost to the correct cost centres

·        Creditors and debtors accounts reconciliation

·        Prepare financial statements and produce budget according to schedule

·        Degree in Accounting/ Finance or equivalent from a reputable university.

·        CPA graduate and registered with ICPAK 

·        5-6 Years’ relevant accounting experience

·        Conversant with various accounting softwares including QuickBooks

·        Excellent numerical and analytical skills

·        Good leadership and interpersonal skills

·        Good communication and presentation skills
