Position: Group Web Developer

Our client is a dynamic group of companies in Tanzania with interests in various business fields including Energy, Security, Telecommunications & Internet Services and Hospitality. 

They are looking for an experienced Web Developer to join their team. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining several of the Groups’ business websites, building new ones, and integrating various tools such as payment gateways. In addition, he/she will be expected to create visually appealing and cutting edge designs that are highly competitive in the respective sectors.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in WordPress development, particularly using the Oxygen Builder, as well as proficiency in Web flow and a solid understanding of SEO principles.

 

·         Maintain and update existing business websites to ensure optimal performance and user experience. 

·         Develop new websites using WordPress (with Oxygen Builder) and Webflow (but not limited to), ensuring they are responsive, visually appealing, and SEO-friendly. 

·         Create and implement cutting-edge, competitive designs and visuals that align with industry trends and company branding.

·         Integrate various tools and plugins, including payment gateways, to enhance website functionality.

·         Optimize websites for speed, performance, and search engine ranking. 

·         Conduct regular website audits to identify areas for improvement and ensure compliance with best practices. 

·         Collaborate with the marketing team to implement SEO strategies and track their effectiveness.

·         Troubleshoot and resolve any technical issues that arise with the websites.

·         Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends and technologies to ensure our websites remain current and competitive.

·         Degree in a relevant field of study

·         Minimum of 5 years of experience in WordPress development, with a focus on using Oxygen Builder. 

·         2-3 years of experience working with Webflow. 

·         Proficiency in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and PHP. 

·         Strong understanding of SEO principles and best practices.

·         Experience in integrating various tools and plugins, including payment gateways. 

·         Demonstrated ability to create visually appealing and cutting-edge designs. 

·         Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. 

·         Strong communication skills and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team. 

·         Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines. 

·         Experience with other website builders and CMS platforms. 

·         Knowledge of graphic design tools such as Adobe Photoshop or Illustrator. 

·         Familiarity with analytics tools such as Google Analytics. 

·         Basic knowledge of server management and hosting environments.
