Position: IT System Administrator/Graphic Designer
Location: Thika
Salary: 50-60K

Our client is a well-established Sacco in Thika. They are seeking a talented and versatile candidate to join their team as a System Administrator/Graphic Designer.

In this role, the successful candidate will be responsible for creating visually appealing designs and providing technical support for the company’s and network infrastructure.

He/She will collaborate with the Finance & Administration & Marketing teams to design graphics for marketing materials, website, and digital platforms, while also assisting with IT-related tasks and troubleshooting issues to ensure smooth operations.

Key Responsibilities

Graphics Design:

Create visually appealing designs, illustrations, and layouts for marketing materials, including brochures, flyers, banners, advertisements, social media graphics, and website elements.
Collaborate with marketing and other teams to understand design requirements and project objectives.
Develop design concepts, graphics, and layouts based on provided briefs and guidelines.
Utilize graphic design software and tools to create and modify design elements.
Ensure consistency and adherence to brand guidelines in all design outputs.
Stay updated on design trends, techniques, and industry best practices.
Manage multiple design projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
Incorporate feedback from clients, stakeholders, and team members into design iterations.
Provide creative input and suggestions during brainstorming sessions and design reviews.
Maintain organized files and documentation for all design projects.

IT System Support:

Provide technical support for computer systems, software applications, and network infrastructure.
Troubleshoot hardware, software, and network issues to identify and resolve problems in a timely manner.
Install, configure, and update software and applications on computers and devices.
Set up and maintain user accounts, permissions, and security settings.
Monitor system performance, diagnose issues, and optimize performance.
Assist in the planning and implementation of IT projects, upgrades, and migrations.
Conduct regular system backups and ensure data integrity and disaster recovery procedures.
Provide user training and support for software applications and systems.
Collaborate with IT teams and external vendors to resolve complex technical issues.

Desired Qualifications, Skills & Abilities

Bachelor's degree Information Technology, Computer Science or a related field
Proven experience as a Graphics Designer and in providing IT System Support.
Proficiency in graphic design software such as Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, and other relevant tools.
Strong understanding of design principles, typography, color theory, and layout techniques.
Knowledge of current design trends and best practices in digital and print media.
Solid technical knowledge of computer systems, software applications, and network infrastructure.
Experience in troubleshooting hardware, software, and network issues.
Familiarity with operating systems (Windows, macOS) and productivity software (Microsoft Office, G Suite).
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
A portfolio of previous design work showcasing a range of styles and techniques is a plus.
